Hello and welcome to my e-portfolio! My name is Kristen Heaton. I'm from Arlington, Virginia and am currently an engineering student at James Madison University. Ever since I was young I have had a passion for seeing how the world around me works. I'm interested in becoming an engineer because I want to have a direct hand in creating a positive impact on peoples daily lives.  I'm particularly interested in mechanical engineering because the use of machines and mechanical systems to serve the needs of people has always fascinated me. I hope to learn more about this field as I progress through my education using analytical and manufacturing skills.
